With the arrival of spring, the historical town of Kawagoe is enveloped in a festive atmosphere at the Kawagoe Spring Festival. Among the various events, one that attracts many visitors every year is the popular boat ride. With the cherry blossom scenery as a backdrop, you can enjoy the atmosphere of Little Edo from the water, a special experience that can only be experienced here in spring.

Board the boat from the banks of the Shingashi River behind Kawagoe Hikawa Shrine and enjoy a 15-minute boat ride. Normally, the ride is sold on a first-come, first-served basis and lasts for about 10 minutes, but for this event, we will be running a special 15-minute ride limited to 20 people. This is a rare opportunity to enjoy Kawagoe in spring in a relaxed atmosphere.

◆Access

From Kawagoe Station on the Tobu Tojo Line or JR Kawagoe Line or Hon-Kawagoe Station on the Seibu Shinjuku Line, take a Tobu Bus West bound for Shinmeicho Shako (Shinmeicho Garage) or other buses. Get off at Kitamachi and walk for 10 minutes.

From Kawagoe Hikawa Shrine and walk for 3 minutes.

・The event will be canceled in the event of inclement weather or flooding. In the event of cancellation, no fees will be charged and a full refund will be given.
・We will announce whether the event will be held or not on this website by 9:00 AM on the day of the event.
*There will be no refunds for cancellations due to customer convenience.

■ Important Notes

・Strollers and wheelchairs cannot be boarded.
・Please wear comfortable clothing that can get wet.
・Please limit your luggage to the bare minimum.
・Infants who cannot wear life jackets, people who are unwell (e.g., those with a fever of 37.5°C or higher), and people who are intoxicated are not permitted to board.
*There is no parking available near the venue. Please use public transportation.
