Meet your local guide at the Shin-Kawasaki station and head to the real Sumo stable, which was officially used until 2022. First, your guide will explain the unique lifestyle and customs of the sumo world, followed by a room tour to see the dining room, bath, and practice area, where you can get a glimpse of the life of sumo wrestlers. Afterwards, you will be seated right in front of the sumo ring to watch a morning sumo practice session.
See how Sumo practice starts in a daily life and know the traditional Sumo moves with the reasons behind to make Sumo wrestlers stronger
Usually, Sumo morning practice begins around 7:00 a.m. and lasts for three to four hours, and a unique training session has continued since the Samurai era. In this tour, you will first see how the morning practice begins, what kind of movements are used, and why. Afterwards, guests who wish to participate will have the opportunity to experience these movements with us and see firsthand how rigorous the training is.
Learn the rules and techniques of sumo, and have a Sumo match with sumo wrestlers at last!

After experiencing sumo practice, the guide will explain sumo rules, moves, and techniques and the Sumo wrestlers show how a real sumo match begins. Afterwards, those who wish to participate will have the opportunity to fight with a sumo wrestler as if it were a real match. Please feel the size and strength of sumo wrestlers with your own body.
After the match, we make and eat together chicken dumplings for chanko-nabe, a dish that builds the body of a sumo wrestler.

After the match, we will eat chanko-nabe together, a dish that makes sumo wrestler’s body big. We make Chicken dumplings, the main ingredient of the chanko-nabe, with the wrestlers, and everyone eats together around a table that was actually used in the sumo room. While eating lunch, participants will have the opportunity to ask questions and enjoy conversation with the rikishi. You can also take pictures and make memorial handprints paper! This tour is Easy Access, 20 minutes from Tokyo Station and 30 minutes from Shinjuku Station, so it is recommended as an active and deep tour of Tokyo.
